Attending conference inspires me, encourages me, and usually sparks a creative thought regarding photography, business, or managing a work/life balance. It can almost be overwhelming to remember all the ideas and tidbits that the speakers or other members share. One of the first speakers at Fall Conference said don’t try to remember it all, just focus on 3 nuggets that you can take home & implement in your photography or your business now. That was great advice! It took the pressure off trying to write down everything and remember who said what. So here are the 3 nuggets that I walked away with –
Networking is a big part of any conference and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet the officers and board members of our association as well as photographers who are both new and seasoned members. Since stepping out is one of the things that I struggle with, networking is one thing that I know I must do but usually do it with butterflies in my stomach. It’s getting easier and I’m glad that I took that first step. Joining PPofN was one of the best decisions that I ever made for my business. I enjoy the learning, the fun atmosphere, the helpfulness, the guidance, and the friendships. I’m already looking forward to Winter Conference in February!
