It’s been a while since I’ve written here.
Not because the work has stopped—but because life has been full. Full of responsibilities, full of change, and full of the everyday moments that quietly shape the direction we’re meant to go.
I first picked up a camera to hold onto time.
To capture our kids as they grew—birthdays, milestones, the small moments that matter more with each passing year.
Over time, that camera became a tool.
A way to showcase quality animals. A way to support agricultural operations and small businesses. It led me to horse shows, farm shoots, and working with people who care deeply about what they’ve built.
And I’m grateful for every bit of that.
But somewhere along the way, something deeper began to take hold.
I realized I didn’t just want to document life—I wanted to reflect it and share it with others.
Not in a loud or hurried way, but in its quiet truth.
The land I live and work on has never been chaotic.
It’s steady. Grounded. Rooted in stewardship, in legacy, and in faith.
It’s found in early mornings, in open pasture, in the rhythm of cattle and horses, and in the stillness that settles in when the world slows down.
That’s what I’m drawn to now.
Images that speak without noise.
Moments that don’t ask for attention, but hold it anyway.
Scenes that remind us of what is good, what is lasting, and what we’ve been given.
This work is no longer about simply taking photographs.
It’s about honoring what’s been entrusted to us—
the land, the life, and the quiet presence of something greater than ourselves.
My hope is that these images bring a sense of peace into your home.
That they remind you to slow down, to notice, to breathe, and to hold onto what matters most.
Because there is something steady here.
And it’s worth remembering.
I’ll also be sharing a selection of this work at Old West Days in Valentine, Nebraska later this month, if you find yourself there.
